The Tacoma Little Theatre is helping out non-profit organizations by partnering with selected groups to create fund-raising opportunities. On December 9th the partner was TACID (Tacoma Area Coalition for Individuals with Disabilities). The event presented a fun evening of quality entertainment that produced needed monies for TACID programs.
We had an exuberant crowd. People chatted, laughed and enjoyed themselves. Snacks and beverages were provided for ticket holders.
Guests were able to look over the TACID display and sign up for volunteer activities. Executive Director Ken Gibson and board member Don Izenman discussed music and holiday adventures.
Theatre fans had much to talk about during intermission. People loved the production. Annie was definitely a hit.
TACID board secretary Paul Opgrande and Ken Gibson rolled the special door prize drum to give out great gifts to the TACID supported who attended Annie.
Board member (and co-chair for the event) Nan Peele talked about the beautiful black and white photographs of Boyd White. Boyd donated two for the event. He will become the official photographer of TACID at the January 2011 board of director's meeting.
The event was a critical as well as a financial success for both Tacoma Little Theatre and TACID.
