Pacific Gill is one of our favorite restaurants in Tacoma. We love the waitstaff and the food. I think we've tried almost everything on their menu. Even though we look forward to new offerings it's hard to neglect the choices that keep bringing us back.
For their 10th Anniversary Celebration on October 12, 2015, they had appetizers and dessert tidbits. I had an oyster shooter or three. A hamburger slider, a toasted cheese sandwich, deviled egg with lox, a nice red olive, a brownie, and a pumpkin mousse. I had a Shirley Temple to wash it all down. I had actually never tried their oyster shooter before, nor the slider. I might have to try them again, but this would probably mean missing my steelhead lox on crackers, which would be hard to give up. Lately when we dine Peg and I will share an order as an appetizer and then I'll order two more of them just for my dinner. Peg's favorites were anything with the steelhead lox, with cracker and cheese and the deviled egg. (Steelhead and Northwest salmon are most of her dinner seafoods, but we can't forget the absolutely perfect Pacific Grill Weathervane scallops.
For the celebration Peg made sure she had two crackers with the lox and the deviled egg with lox. She gave me her shooter and I retrieved a second egg for her. On my second trip through the line I got two chicken wing legs. I enjoyed them, but the sauce was a little too hot for Peg. We both enjoyed the cheese pizza slices as well. She had the pinot grigio.
At the party the appetizers were free, but we paid for our drinks. We're not big drinkers, so it was a cheap date for us. Peg had one and a third glasses of Pinot Grigio, currently her favorite wine. The food was wonderful, we saw a lot of friends as well as some of our favorite waitresses. What a great thank you celebration from one of our favorite local restaurants.
